Tranmere story
West Kirby-born defender David Raven spent time in Tranmere Rovers’ youth system before joining Liverpool’s academy. He made his Liverpool first-team debut in 2004 and later played for Carlisle United and Shrewsbury Town, alongside two spells at Tranmere, the first on loan.
Raven joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2012. He scored the extra-time winner against Celtic in the 2015 Scottish Cup semi-final, although injury ruled him out of the final. He later represented Wrexham, Warrington Town and Marine.
